Getting a streak free shine on glass windows at home is hard! We all know the drill, we use a glass cleaning solution and wipe the glass. What, then, gives the glass a streak-free shine that eludes most of us?
- Clean from top to bottom. This ensures there are no drips left behind that can cause streaks on the glass, leaving the glass perfectly cleaned.
- Use a squeegee to go in after the first round of wiping. You know having to rewipe areas of glass will cause streaks otherwise!
- Wash your windows on a cool and cloudy day. If it’s hot and sunny, there’s a possibility that you’re you working your way down the glass the water would have evaporated off the glass because of the heat leaving behind streaks.
- Clean those hard to reach corners with cotton swabs. This takes out any residue that’s pushed towards the corners of the window when you’re wiping with a cloth.
- Use a lint free material to wipe down the windows with – old cotton t-shirts, newspapers (beware: this leaves newsprint on your hands), or plain lint free cleaning cloths work well for this!
Hopefully the next time you’re cleaning the windows, you can get a brilliant streak-free shine on them that can sparkle in the sun!
